The Establishment Preparation Committee is an organization formed by the city on April 18, consisting of 118 members, including former and current football professionals, former and current city and provincial council members, figures from the sports, economic, and cultural sectors, and local opinion leaders.

During the meeting, the committee discussed the timeline for establishing Yongin FC, the direction for organizing the club’s administrative office, and plans for recruiting key personnel such as the head, manager, and technical director (TD). Moving forward, the committee also plans to sequentially discuss strategies for managing the player squad and youth teams, attracting corporate sponsors and ensuring financial stability, and expanding community engagement and promotional strategies.

At the meeting, Mayor Lee also outlined the operational policy for the professional football team. He stated, "As I am not a football expert, I will not be deeply involved in the club’s operations," and added, "I will focus on supporting the football team, attracting corporate sponsors, and preventing unnecessary external interference."

This month, the city plans to convert the existing Yongin City Football Center into the 'Yongin FC Foundation.' Next month, the city will appoint the head, manager, and technical director (TD), and apply for membership in the K League 2 with the Korea Professional Football League.

Starting in July, the city will begin forming the player squad, complete player signings by December, hold the inauguration ceremony in February next year, and participate in the K League 2 regular season starting in March.
