Exciting Children's Day! ...Jungnang District Filled with Play and Experiences Everywhere

Jungnang District (District Mayor Ryu Gyeonggi) will offer a variety of play programs for children at various locations throughout the area in celebration of Children's Day.

First, on May 3, the "2025 Jungnang Children's Play Festival" will be held at the circular plaza of Yongma Waterfall Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Jungnang District has been designated as a Future Education District by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and supports the healthy growth of children and adolescents through educational programs in partnership with the local community. Now in its sixth year, the "Jungnang Children's Play Festival" is a flagship project of the Future Education District's integrated support division for after-school and care activities. It originally began as a play camp and has been expanded since 2022 to the Children's Play Festival at Yongma Waterfall Park.

This year's event will feature play experts and locally trained play instructors, with a total of 20 play teams operating booths with a variety of themes. Activities will include board games, top spinning, stone throwing, and world culture experiences, allowing children to learn, experience, and enjoy through hands-on participation. No advance registration is required; anyone can freely participate and experience the programs after on-site registration.

During the same period, customized play events to celebrate Children's Day will also be held at Jungnang District's shared childcare rooms and indoor playgrounds. From May 2 to May 5, the Jungnang Indoor Playground Myeonmok 4-dong branch will offer themed play and parent-child experience programs.

Additionally, on May 5, the Yangwon branch will host the "Bustling Yangwon Detective Squad! Find Ddolbae!" program, and nine shared childcare rooms in the district will provide children with meaningful experiences through photo zones, mini-games, and hands-on activities.

In particular, the "Haetsal Arae (Branch 6)" and "Green Narae (Branch 15)" shared childcare rooms will operate on Children's Day without the usual Monday closure, and families participating in the shared childcare play events will receive small commemorative gifts. Families wishing to participate can make a reservation in advance through the Jungnang District Childcare Support Center or the Woori Neighborhood Childcare Portal website.

Ryu Gyeonggi, Mayor of Jungnang District, stated, "We have prepared a wide range of experiential opportunities so that children can play freely and grow up healthy throughout the district," adding, "We will continue to promote various programs to create a happy educational and welfare environment for children."
