[Tomorrow's Weather] Intermittent Rain Ends, Cloudy Skies Remain

On Friday, May 2, no rain is expected, but the weather will be mostly cloudy or overcast.


According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on May 1, strong winds with instantaneous speeds of around 55 km/h nationwide (up to 70 km/h in mountainous areas) are expected to continue on May 2.


Morning lows are forecast to range from 6 to 11 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs from 17 to 22 degrees Celsius. The temperature difference between day and night will be significant, around 15 degrees Celsius, especially in inland areas. The expected minimum and maximum temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul and Gwangju, 9 and 20 degrees; Incheon, 10 and 17 degrees; Daejeon, 8 and 21 degrees; Daegu, 9 and 22 degrees; Ulsan, 10 and 21 degrees; and Busan, 11 and 21 degrees.


On this day, which marks the first day of the May holiday period, rain fell across the country except for parts of the east coast. Seoul recorded 21.1 mm of rainfall, and Seogwipo in Jeju received 62.1 mm of rain as of 4 p.m. on the same day. After a break from rain on May 2, precipitation is expected to return on Saturday, May 3, mainly in regions south of Chungcheong.
