The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on May 1 that they have booked truck driver A, a man in his forties, without detention on charges of causing death under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accidents, and are investigating the case.

Driver A is accused of hitting B, a man in his twenties, with his vehicle while B was riding a bicycle across a crosswalk in the first lane of a two-lane one-way road in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, at around 10:20 p.m. on April 30.
