In particular, anticipation is high as the event will be held at the easily accessible Gwanghwamun Square in connection with the '2025 Let's Jongno Spring Festival.' The program will begin with a pre-ceremony performance by the Jongno District Children's Choir, followed by the screening of a commemorative video titled 'Jongno, a Friend for 630 Years,' which takes a time-machine concept to showcase the past, present, and future of Jongno.

The Residents' Awards will honor ten recipients across nine categories, including contributions to community development, establishment of social order, community unity, promotion of local culture and arts, advancement of sports for all, filial piety and good deeds, exemplary youth, environmental protection, and fostering the local economy.

The highlight of the event will be a celebratory concert by Ham Shin-ik and the Symphony Song Orchestra, starting at 4:00 PM. The performance will fill Gwanghwamun Square with masterpieces that capture the spirit of the season and artistic inspiration, including 'Spring' from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, Johann Strauss's 'Voices of Spring Waltz,' Puccini's 'Nessun Dorma,' Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 'Pastoral,' the second movement of Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 'From the New World,' and Tchaikovsky's 'Waltz of the Flowers.'

Additionally, on May 8 and 9, the 'Everywhere Stage' opening festival will take place at Gwanghwamun Square, offering a variety of performances such as percussion shows, university student dance, and creative Korean traditional music and jazz performances, bringing diverse stages closer to the citizens.

Jung Moonheon, Mayor of Jongno District, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply thank all residents for their unwavering support of district administration," and added, "I hope many people who cherish and love Jongno will join us for this meaningful occasion."
