Busan Office of Education Offers Abundant Family Events for Children's Day... "Children's Day Grand Festival" at Busan Cinema Center

The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) has organized a variety of family-friendly events in celebration of the 103rd Children's Day, in collaboration with its affiliated institutions.


A notable event is the "52nd Busan Children's Day Grand Festival," which will take place at 10 a.m. on May 5 at the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae-gu. Under the theme "A Village Where Children Are Happy, Creating Tomorrow Together," the event will feature a rich lineup of performances and hands-on programs designed for family visitors.


Highlights on stage will include the "Shinbi Apartment Sing-Along Show" based on a popular animation, a talk show featuring the well-known kids creator "Yell Unni," and the "Science Magic Show," which combines science and magic. In addition, the "Global Children's Fair," where visitors can experience traditional cultures from around the world, and the "Children's K-pop Dance Contest" will offer a variety of sights and activities for everyone to enjoy.


Other activities include a sports day with companion dogs, recycled crafts, board games, a four-panel comic contest, and caricature drawing, providing meaningful opportunities for children and their guardians to spend quality time together.


The Busan Children's Creative Education Center will host the "Family Culture Festival." This event will focus on nurturing children's creativity and imagination through 37 programs, including a forest exhibition hall, creative experience booths, magic performances, and photo events.


The Early Childhood Education Promotion Institute and Early Childhood Play Experience Center will hold the "Family Love Connection Festival." The festival will feature a children's musical "Little Red Riding Hood and the Greedy Wolf," a mini Olympics, traditional games, chalk art experiences, eco-bag making, bead bracelet making, and a variety of cultural and artistic activities.


Additionally, other institutions and libraries under the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will also offer exhibitions, hands-on experiences, and performance programs for Children's Day, providing opportunities for children and families to enjoy together throughout the region.


Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "We have prepared a wide range of sights and activities for Children's Day, a day when children are the main characters," adding, "I hope many people participate and create warm memories. We will continue to do our utmost to support children so that they can grow up healthy and happy."
