Daejeon City announced that it will officially launch the Eoullim Green Center project to transform the Daejeon Station area into a new urban hub that integrates culture, economy, and tourism.

This project, selected as a key facility of the "Daejeon Station Area Urban Regeneration Project" under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's Urban Regeneration New Deal, will be constructed on a 1,344-square-meter site at 31-28 Jeong-dong, Dong-gu. The building will have three above-ground floors and a total floor area of 2,646.6 square meters.

The center will include a community space for resident interaction, four rental-type co-prosperity shops, a public parking lot with 49 spaces, and a small park measuring 353.1 square meters.

The city plans to complete the design within the first half of this year, begin construction in September, and finish the project by December 2026.

The Eoullim Green Center will play a pivotal role in transforming the Daejeon Station area into a complex hub where culture, economy, and tourism converge, in connection with the nearby Local Biz Platform and Regional Culture and Tourism Hub projects.

A city official stated, "We expect that the establishment of the Eoullim Green Center will not only improve the quality of life for local residents and merchants, but also enhance the overall competitiveness of the Daejeon Station area and create a virtuous cycle that revitalizes the broader economic zone."
