Launch of 'Himart Subscription' Service
Leveraging Home Appliance Retailer Competitiveness to Secure Domestic and Global Brands
Support for Appliance Cleaning, Free After-Sales Service, and Consumable Replacement
On May 1, Lotte Himart announced that it has launched the 'Himart Subscription' service, entering the home appliance subscription market.
The home appliance subscription service allows customers to use appliances for a set period by paying a small monthly subscription fee. This reduces the initial cost burden when purchasing products and also provides access to a variety of care services.
Lotte Himart has leveraged its characteristic as a multi-brand home appliance retailer to expand options for consumers, allowing them to compare and experience products from various brands.
The Himart Subscription service goes beyond existing home appliance subscription services that focus on a single brand, gathering a total of 11 brands, 21 categories, and around 800 products, centered on popular domestic and international brands.
At Himart, customers can subscribe not only to products from LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics, but also to items that were previously unavailable through existing subscription services, such as Roborock robot vacuum cleaners, Shark cordless vacuum cleaners, Dyson air purifiers, and Apple iPads and MacBooks. For example, the Dyson hair dryer can be subscribed to for three years at a monthly fee in the 10,000 won range, and the Roborock robot vacuum cleaner can be subscribed to for five years at a monthly fee in the 40,000 won range.
The product categories have also been expanded to include everything from large appliances to household and kitchen appliances. Customers can now subscribe to small household and kitchen appliances such as electric rice cookers, hair dryers, and food waste disposers, which are rarely available through domestic manufacturers' subscription services. The subscription period can be selected as either 36 or 60 months.
The Himart Subscription service includes 'Home Appliance Cleaning' and 'Extended Warranty Service,' which are the main features of 'Himart Safe Care.' The warranty period for free after-sales service is also extended to match the subscription period, minimizing the burden on customers.
Thorough cleaning services are provided for air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, and dryers. In addition, consumable replacement services are offered depending on the product, allowing customers to have items such as rice cooker packings or inner pots, and robot vacuum mop pads or dust bags replaced at designated intervals.
