The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority conducted an "AI Entrepreneurs Invitation Fam Tour" on the 30th, offering participants the opportunity to experience Gwangju's AI convergence industry and cultural facilities.
This event was an industry-culture convergence program planned in connection with the "2025 Visit Gwangju Year" campaign, and was organized as a field-oriented event to allow participants to experience Gwangju's investment environment firsthand. It has been evaluated as an opportunity to comprehensively showcase the unique investment appeal of Gwangju, where industry and culture are integrated.
Seven participants, including CEOs and executives from promising companies in fields such as AI solutions and cloud services, joined the fam tour. They visited key industrial and cultural facilities in the region, including the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, the National AI Data Center, the Advanced District 3 (AI Convergence District) PR Center, the Gwangju AI Academy, the Asia Culture Center (ACC), and Jeonil Building 245, where they experienced Gwangju's future new growth industries as well as its historical and cultural content.
The Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority plans to attract investment from AI companies by introducing the concentrated AI convergence industry infrastructure through industrial site tours, demonstrating Gwangju's potential as a leading AI city, and operating experiential programs that incorporate cultural and tourism resources.
Sun Seokki, Commissioner of the Gwangju Free Economic Zone Authority, stated, "The Gwangju Free Economic Zone is an attractive investment destination with both an AI-centered industrial ecosystem and abundant content. We will actively support companies so they can directly confirm Gwangju's growth potential and urban competitiveness, leading to tangible investments."
