Each of these factors independently contributes to the need for higher supply prices.
Meanwhile, according to consumer price trends announced by Statistics Korea on April 2, last month's consumer prices rose by 2.1% compared to the same month last year, marking a third consecutive month of price increases in the 2% range this year. Notably, processed food prices rose by 3.6% year-on-year, the highest since December 2023. Since the beginning of this year, more than 40 food and dining companies have raised product prices. The prices of many items, including coffee, bread, ramen, frozen dumplings, snacks, ice cream, hamburgers, beer, and cheese, have all increased one after another.
