On the afternoon of April 30, the Chungnam Office of Education held the "2025 Wee Project Function Expansion and Reorganization Pilot Project Education Support Office Presentation" at Asan Old Mill, with 60 officials involved in the Wee Project in attendance.

The Wee Project is a multi-service network that supports students' mental health through cooperation among schools, education offices, and local communities. The Ministry of Education has been implementing the project since 2008.

The provincial office designated the Asan Education Support Office as a pilot education support office in 2024 and operated it by securing additional dedicated personnel. This case was recognized as an exemplary case.

In 2025, the Asan, Cheonan, Seosan, and Seocheon Education Support Office Wee Centers are being designated as pilot education support offices to promote the expansion and reorganization of functions.

To establish the "Onmaeumbom Project" (a Chungnam-customized Wee Project reorganization model), the provincial office plans to: operate the Cheonan Education Support Office advisory professor group "Weepungdangdang"; reorganize the Asan Education Support Office by assigning professional counseling supervisors; run the Seosan Education Support Office "Hanmaum Bodeum Project"; and create the Seocheon Education Support Office Wee Town by utilizing the geographical characteristics of military areas.

Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "We will actively promote the Chungnam-style Wee Project function expansion and reorganization pilot project to enhance students' mental health and support prevention and recovery through counseling activities." He added, "We will prioritize building a safety net to address students' psychological and emotional issues by gathering diverse opinions from the educational community and maximizing the unique characteristics of each region."
