Jangheung County to Reopen Park Golf Course on the 1st of Next Month

Jangheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Sung) announced on the 30th that the park golf course, which had been closed to protect and promote turf growth, will reopen from the 1st of next month.


The park golf course is a recreational sports facility where visitors can enjoy both the fun of golf and the relaxation of a park. It is easy for people of all ages to enjoy, contributing to health improvement and the revitalization of leisure activities, and has gained great popularity among many residents.

The Jangheung Park Golf Course covers an area of 17,945 square meters and features 27 holes, while the Gwansan Park Golf Course covers 5,250 square meters and has 9 holes. In particular, the park golf courses in Jangheung County are harmoniously set against the natural scenery of the nearby Tamjingang and Goeupcheon rivers, making them popular attractions not only for local residents but also for people from neighboring areas.


An official from the county stated, "We are planning facility improvement projects to address the lack of amenities and to provide the best possible playing environment," adding, "We hope that many people will visit the park golf courses, enjoy their leisure time, and regain their vitality."


Governor Kim Sung said, "We will expand the park golf infrastructure to provide residents with opportunities to enjoy leisure activities in a more pleasant environment and to showcase the appeal of Jangheung County's sports tourism to visitors."
