Jeff Ogilvy (Australia) has been appointed as the captain of the International Team for the Presidents Cup.


The PGA Tour announced on April 29 (local time) that Ogilvy has been selected as the captain of the International Team and Brandt Snedeker as the captain of the United States Team for the 2026 Presidents Cup. The Presidents Cup is a men's golf competition between the United States and the International Team. It is held biennially. The next tournament will take place in September 2026 at Medinah Country Club near Chicago, Illinois, United States.

Born in 1977, Ogilvy has recorded 8 wins on the PGA Tour. He claimed a major title at the 2006 US Open. In the last four editions of the Presidents Cup, he served continuously as vice-captain of the International Team. Brandt Snedeker, the US captain, was born in 1980 and has achieved 9 PGA Tour victories. He served as vice-captain for the United States at the previous Presidents Cup in 2024, as well as at this year's Ryder Cup.


In the history of the Presidents Cup, the United States holds an overwhelming record with 13 wins, 1 draw, and 1 loss. The International Team's only victory came at the 1998 tournament in Australia, while the 2003 event in South Africa ended in a tie.
