Gwangju Bukgu Named Top Performer for 13 Consecutive Years in Local Finance Rapid Execution Evaluation

Ranked First Among Autonomous Districts Nationwide in First-Quarter Execution Rate
Exceeded Targets in Consumption and Investment Sectors
Secured 120 Million Won in Special Grants

On April 30, Gwangju Bukgu District announced that it had been selected as the top-performing institution for the 13th consecutive time in the 'Local Finance Rapid Execution Evaluation' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

The Local Finance Rapid Execution Evaluation is conducted annually to assess the early execution of budgets by 243 local governments nationwide, aiming to boost regional economies. This year, reflecting economic conditions, a first-quarter evaluation was added in addition to the existing semiannual evaluations for the first and second halves of the year.

In the first quarter of this year, Bukgu executed 104.8 billion won, significantly exceeding its target of 85 billion won, ranking first among 69 autonomous districts nationwide. In particular, in the consumption and investment sector, Bukgu executed 56 billion won against a target of 44.8 billion won, achieving a fiscal execution rate of 125%.

As a result of this achievement, Bukgu was selected as the top-performing institution in the comprehensive evaluation and secured a special grant of 120 million won as a reward.
