"Let's Celebrate Children's Day at the Gwangju Science Museum!"

Four-Day Event at the National Gwangju Science Museum
Ten Programs Including Performances, Hands-On Experiences, and Events
Free Admission to Permanent Exhibition Halls

The National Gwangju Science Museum will hold the "2025 Children's Day Special Event" from May 3 to May 6, in celebration of the Children's Day holiday, offering programs for families to enjoy together.

This event will feature a total of 10 programs across three main categories?performances, hands-on experiences, and events?centered around the museum's permanent exhibition halls.

"Let's Celebrate Children's Day at the Gwangju Science Museum!" A special magic show held last May in celebration of Children's Day.

The performance programs are designed to appeal to children, featuring engaging content such as "Invitation from YumYum Puppets," "Green Magician Magic Show," "Cotton Candy Magic Show," and "Balloon Art Performance." These shows will be held twice daily, at 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. To prevent no-shows, tickets are available through a paid reservation system for 1,000 KRW, with same-day tickets also available on site.

The hands-on experience programs include caricature drawing and face painting. These activities will be offered four times a day and are open to all visitors of the permanent exhibition halls.

There are also special events for families, such as "Family Instant Photo" sessions and a social media participation event for sharing experiences at the museum.

On Children's Day itself, May 5, activities to promote ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) values will be held, including a fish release experience at the outdoor ecological pond and an ecology interpretation program. Those wishing to participate must register in advance on the museum's website.

To expand opportunities for enjoying science culture, the main building, Children's Science Hall, and Artificial Intelligence Hall? all permanent exhibition spaces?will be open free of charge from May 4 to May 6.

More detailed information about the event can be found on the museum's website.
