On April 29, Pyeongtaek City announced that it held a meeting with seven PM operators at City Hall to discuss response measures aimed at resolving the indiscriminate parking and stopping of PMs on sidewalks.

During the meeting, participants discussed ways to efficiently utilize PM parking zones that the city has installed at major hubs and in areas with high foot traffic, in order to prevent obstruction of pedestrian pathways. They also reviewed incentive measures such as awarding points or coupons to encourage users to voluntarily park within designated zones. The city requested that operators link parking zone location information to their PM operation apps, and agreed to jointly promote a campaign for proper parking practices with the companies.

As a preliminary step toward introducing a towing system, the city plans to first select pilot areas to analyze the current parking and stopping situation, and then use the findings as a basis for amending related ordinances and establishing an administrative system. Currently, Pyeongtaek City operates approximately 8,450 PMs, the largest number in Gyeonggi Province.

A Pyeongtaek City official stated, "We will continue to work with the private sector to ensure that shared mobility options are established in a convenient and safe manner."
