A fire broke out at a restaurant in Liaoyang, Liaoning Province, China, resulting in 22 deaths and 3 injuries.

On the 29th, China's state-run CCTV reported that a fire had occurred at a restaurant in Liaoyang, located in the northeastern region of Liaoning Province, China.

According to local media, the fire, which started at around 12:25 p.m., was extinguished by approximately 3:30 p.m., and all search operations were completed. Videos showing the two-story restaurant engulfed in flames were shared in real time across various social media platforms during the incident.

The fire authorities believe that the fire started from a second-floor window. At the time, strong winds caused the fire to spread rapidly, making it extremely difficult for people inside the building to evacuate.

Chinese President Xi Jinping stated, "All efforts must be made to treat the injured and properly handle the victims," and emphasized, "It is imperative to resolutely prevent and suppress the occurrence of major safety accidents."
