On-Site College Admissions Counseling Program Runs Until August 25
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Cheon Changsu) Career and College Counseling Center supports high school students in the Ulsan region so they can plan their college admissions in a personalized way.
The Ulsan Career and College Counseling Center will operate the "On-Site College Admissions Counseling" program until August 25. The program targets 531 third-year students from 23 high schools in Ulsan.
The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education has conducted counseling sessions every year at the Ulsan Career and College Counseling Center to support student-tailored college admissions planning in line with changing university admission processes.
In particular, starting this year, the counseling schedule is being evenly distributed so that students from remote schools and small-sized schools, who have difficulty accessing college admissions information, can also have fair opportunities.
The college admissions counseling sessions are held after regular class hours to avoid disrupting lessons, with each counseling teacher providing three 50-minute sessions per student.
Forty-four current teachers from the Ulsan College Admissions Support Group, all with extensive college admissions guidance experience, will be divided into three teams to conduct the counseling. The schedule will be set according to the needs of each participating school.
As the counseling is personalized, the content varies for each student, and students are required to submit a counseling application form in advance.
Counseling teachers review the submitted application forms beforehand and prepare materials focused on what each student wants to know, such as admissions planning, student record writing for comprehensive admissions, previous year's admissions results, and application strategies.
An official from the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education said, "Students who apply for this college admissions counseling will gain confidence in their personalized admissions planning," adding, "We will continue to effectively plan support programs for students to further enhance the credibility of public education."
The Ulsan Career and College Counseling Center also plans to operate the "2025 On-Site College Admissions Information Session" for 21 high schools from May to November.
