Samsung C&T Expands Smart Residential Technology Exchange with SK Eco Plant
"Homnic" to Be Introduced at New SK Eco Plant Complexes
Considering Application of Recycling Waste Management Solution "PICKLE"
Samsung C&T Corporation's home platform, Homnic, will now be available at SK Eco Plant's apartment complexes, including SK View and Define.
On April 30, Samsung C&T's Construction Division announced that it had signed a strategic partnership with SK Eco Plant for smart residential technology collaboration at the Raemian Gallery in Munjeong-dong.
The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Myungseok, Head of Housing Business Division (Executive Vice President) at Samsung C&T, and Lee Kiyeol, Head of Solution Sales (Executive Vice President) at SK Eco Plant, along with other key officials from both companies, who shared information about each company's smart residential products.
The companies plan to create synergy by exchanging smart residential solution technologies, such as Samsung C&T's home platform Homnic and SK Eco Plant's recycling waste management solution PICKLE.
Homnic is a home platform that allows residents to access all residential services at once, including digital smart home services, cultural activities, and health management. Samsung C&T is already providing Homnic to other branded apartments, such as those of Hanwha Construction Division, Doosan Engineering & Construction, and HS Hwaseong.
With this agreement, residents of newly built SK Eco Plant housing brands Define (DEFINE) and SK View (SK VIEW) will also be able to use all apartment-related convenience services, including checking management fees, reserving community facilities, and accessing daily life services.
Samsung C&T plans to consider applying SK Eco Plant's residential innovation technology, PICKLE. PICKLE is a recycling waste management solution that won an Innovation Award at CES 2024 last year. It is a smart residential solution that uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to improve resource recycling efficiency for recyclable waste generated in multi-family housing.
The two companies will further enhance their services through technology exchange and will also work together on technologies to reduce noise between floors.
Kim Myungseok, Head of Housing Business Division (Executive Vice President) at Samsung C&T, said, "This agreement marks another important milestone in expanding Homnic. We will continue to make every effort to provide residents with the best possible living environment."
