'SERI PAK with Yongin,' which was created by remodeling the main stand of the former Yongin Sports Complex at 704 Mapyeong-dong, is equipped with a virtual sports experience room, a book cafe, exhibition spaces, and a multi-purpose community area.
This facility will be operated by Baz International, a company founded by former women's national golf team coach Seri Pak. Previously, in November last year, Baz International signed a five-year consignment contract with Yongin City for the operation of the facility, agreeing to offer a variety of sports, cultural, and arts programs.
The facility has three floors above ground with a total floor area of 1,737 square meters. The first floor features a book cafe for citizens to relax and a shop selling golf-related merchandise. The second floor houses the Seri Pak Memorial Hall and a virtual reality sports experience room, while the third floor is equipped with a seminar room.
Yongin City and Baz International will work together with local schools to discover and nurture promising golf talents. In addition, they plan to offer a range of programs, including the Seri Kids Golf Camp for children and teenagers, book talk concerts for residents, liberal arts lectures by experts in various fields, and a flea market in collaboration with local small business owners.
Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, stated, "As a result of ongoing communication and cooperation with Baz International, we are launching a new multi-purpose cultural space that brings together sports, culture, and the arts. I believe the diverse programs offered here will provide both enjoyment and benefits to our citizens."
