Pureun Asia (Chairman Son Bongho) and the Climate Management Institute Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Jaewon) announced on the 30th that they have signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to Support Corporate Carbon Neutrality Management.' The purpose of this agreement is to exchange the latest domestic and international information and knowledge related to greenhouse gases, and to establish a foundation for joint research and cooperation to support corporate carbon neutrality strategies and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.

Through this agreement, the two organizations will promote the exchange of professional personnel and joint projects; share information related to climate change response and carbon neutrality; jointly host events such as workshops on ESG and sustainable management; and carry out consulting projects across various fields, including the calculation and reporting of corporate greenhouse gas emissions, TNFD (Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures), CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), and SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).

They also plan to cooperate on education and consulting related to the Korean translation of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG Protocol), which is widely used as a global guideline for greenhouse gas calculation and reporting, and will soon be released by Pureun Asia through an official translation agreement with the World Resources Institute (WRI).

Ko Jaekwang, Secretary General of Pureun Asia, said, "Through this agreement, we hope the two organizations will take this opportunity to grow by sharing knowledge and information and continuing professional exchanges, and based on this, we expect to provide more professional and credible education and services to companies."

Kim Junghyun, Planning Director (CFA-Chartered Financial Analyst) of the Climate Management Institute, stated, "By collaborating with Pureun Asia, the official Korean partner of the GHG Protocol, we will focus on providing companies with professional and reliable services for greenhouse gas management and reporting, as well as establishing sustainable management strategies."
