956 Applicants for 33 Positions at Six Goyang Public Institutions
Goyang Urban Management Corporation Records Highest Competition Ratio at 46 to 1
A total of 956 applicants competed for positions in the 2024 integrated recruitment of public institutions under Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan), resulting in a high average competition ratio of 29 to 1.
According to Goyang Special City on April 30, the city began accepting applications for integrated recruitment of staff at six public institutions on April 7, closing the process on April 28. With 33 positions available and 956 applicants, the recruitment demonstrated significant interest in employment at Goyang's public institutions.
By institution, the competition ratios were as follows: Goyang Urban Management Corporation had the highest competition, with 506 applicants vying for 11 positions (46 to 1). This was followed by Goyang Cultural Foundation at 34.8 to 1 (139 applicants for 4 positions), Goyang International Flower Foundation at 26.3 to 1 (79 applicants for 3 positions), Goyang Industry Promotion Agency at 24.5 to 1 (49 applicants for 2 positions), Goyang Research Institute at 20 to 1 (80 applicants for 4 positions), and Goyang Youth Foundation at 11.4 to 1 (103 applicants for 9 positions).
The integrated recruitment process will include a first-stage document screening, followed by a written examination scheduled for May 17, 2025. The announcement of successful candidates from the document screening and the exam schedule will be posted on May 13, 2025, on the Goyang integrated recruitment website (https://goyang.recruitlab.co.kr).
Goyang Special City has divided the written examination into two sections?NCS (National Competency Standards) and a subject-specific test?to enhance the professionalism of the exam and reduce the burden on candidates. In addition, a personality test will be conducted and used as reference material for future interviews.
