Hamyang Wild Ginseng Wins 'Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Award' for Seven Consecutive Years

Proving Its Status as the Nation's Top Regional Luxury Brand

Hamyang Wild Ginseng from Hamyang County, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on April 30 that it received the Grand Prize in the Regional Luxury Brand category at the '2025 Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Awards' ceremony held at the Press Club on the 20th floor of the Korea Press Center in Seoul.

Hamyang Wild Ginseng, the representative specialty product of Hamyang County, has been honored with the 'Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Award' for seven consecutive years, once again proving its status as the top wild ginseng brand in the country.

Representatives from Hamyang County, including wild ginseng farmers, the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Processing Association, the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Committee, Kim Panyeol, CEO of the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Association Agricultural Corporation, Lee Boseong, CEO of the Central Wild Ginseng Association Agricultural Corporation, Lee Jongsang, Deputy Chairman of the Hamyang Wild Ginseng Festival Committee and head of the Processing Association, the head of the Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Division, and other officials, attended the event to celebrate Hamyang Wild Ginseng's achievement of winning the Grand Prize in the Regional Luxury Brand category at the '2025 Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Awards' together.

The '2025 Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Awards' is hosted by the Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Awards Committee and Consumer Post, organized by the Korea Consumer Association and the Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Certification Institute, with evaluation and judging conducted by Korea Consumer Association Consulting.

By winning the Regional Luxury Brand category for seven consecutive years at the '2025 Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Awards,' Hamyang County expects not only to strengthen the brand image of Hamyang Wild Ginseng but also to enhance consumer awareness and instill pride among businesses and farmers.

Hamyang Wild Ginseng, which received the '2025 Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Award' in the Regional Luxury Brand category, is cultivated in pristine areas above 500 meters in altitude, including the highlands of Jirisan and Deogyusan along the Baekdudaegan mountain range, and is recognized for its outstanding quality. Hamyang County was the first in the nation to introduce a wild ginseng production traceability system, and in 2021, it completed registration for the Korea Forest Service's geographical indication system, officially certifying its quality and safety.

Additionally, Hamyang County has strengthened quality control through the operation of the 'Hamyang Wild Ginseng Guardians' program and currently ranks first among over 140 local governments nationwide in terms of reported wild ginseng cultivation area. In 2021, the county hosted the 'Hamyang Wild Ginseng Anti-Aging Expo,' raising both domestic and international awareness of Hamyang Wild Ginseng.

Based on its exceptional natural environment and systematic quality management, Hamyang County is enhancing its competitiveness in domestic and international markets and making significant contributions to increasing local farmers' income and revitalizing the regional economy.

A Hamyang County official stated, "This remarkable achievement of winning the Korea Prestigious Brand and Luxury Award for seven consecutive years is a proud result created by the efforts and passion of all our residents," adding, "We will continue to nurture Hamyang Wild Ginseng as a luxury brand recognized not only in Korea but also worldwide."

Meanwhile, at the awards ceremony, Hamyang County presented wild ginseng as gifts to the Ambassadors of Turkmenistan and Venezuela to Korea, requesting their support in promoting the prestigious Hamyang Wild Ginseng to the world.
