On April 29, LG Uplus announced in a regulatory filing that it will invest 615.6 billion won in the construction of a new Artificial Intelligence Data Center (AIDC) in Paju, Gyeonggi Province. This investment amounts to 7.02% of LG Uplus's equity capital.
The new data center that LG Uplus plans to build will be a "hyper-scale" facility capable of accommodating more than 100,000 servers. The company aims to complete construction by 2027.
