Jeonnam Boxing Association, Chosun College of Science and Technology, and Hwasun Sports Council Sign Employment Support MOU

The Jeonnam Boxing Association announced on April 29 that it has signed a three-party memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Chosun College of Science and Technology and the Hwasun County Sports Council to support university admission and employment for student athletes.

The agreement, which was signed at Chosun College of Science and Technology on the same day, aims to create an environment where student athletes can receive practical support for systematic career planning and entering society. The organizations agreed to establish a diverse system of educational, administrative, and material cooperation based on mutual trust.

The main points of the agreement include: ▲ support for university admission and employment for members of athletic teams ▲ support for career preparation and social advancement for student athletes from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds ▲ strengthening educational support for emotional guidance and career connections ▲ and exchanges of human and material resources for mutual development. The agreement is effective until 2027, and unless otherwise agreed, it will be extended every two years.

Ju Donghyeon, president of the Jeonnam Boxing Association, stated, "I hope this agreement will provide real hope for the young athletes who will lead the future of sports in Jeonnam."

Jung Hyeongchan, president of the Hwasun County Sports Council, said, "We hope this will become a model case of a sports education model linked to the local community."

Hwang Youngguk, director of the Industry-Academia Cooperation Foundation at Chosun College of Science and Technology, said, "As an educational institution, we will fully support the career planning and growth of student athletes."
