- Only about 20% of planned housing units in the Seoul metropolitan area were released in March... Concerns grow over a shortage of new apartments
- Model home for "Buk Suwon Imok District The Atrium The Ricce II" set to open tomorrow (30th)
According to real estate information provider Real Estate Info, the planned number of housing units for sale in the Seoul metropolitan area in March was 22,709, but the actual number of units released was only 4,540, which is about 20% of the planned amount. Expanding the scope to the first quarter of this year (January to March), the total number of general housing units released nationwide was 12,358, which is less than half the amount of the same period last year (35,251 units) and marks the lowest figure in 16 years since 2009. Real estate platform Zigbang also reported that the nationwide supply for May is expected to be 17,176 units, a 7% decrease compared to the same month last year, indicating that the low level of supply is likely to continue next month as well.
As the nationwide supply of new housing units has declined, there are growing concerns about a shortage of new apartments, particularly due to a significant decrease in the number of units available in the Seoul metropolitan area. Amidst this situation, the model home for "Buk Suwon Imok District The Atrium The Ricce II" is set to open tomorrow, April 30. According to Real Estate R114, this week, "Buk Suwon Imok District The Atrium The Ricce II" is the only model home opening nationwide, and it is attracting considerable attention due to its excellent location and product appeal.

The Imok District, where the complex is located, is a mini-new town site planned for over 4,200 households, with a large business and commercial area set to provide an excellent residential environment. In addition, residents will have convenient access to the established infrastructure of the surrounding old city center, including "Starfield Suwon," "Lotte Mart Cheoncheon Branch," "Manseok Park," and "Suwon Sports Complex," allowing them to enjoy both the new town amenities and the robust infrastructure of the nearby city center.
The model home for this complex, constructed by Daebang Construction, will be located near Suwon Station in Seodun-dong, Gwonseon-gu, Suwon, and is scheduled to open on April 30.
