The Beach Condo, which broke ground this time, will consist of six basement levels and ten above-ground floors, offering a total of 274 rooms. On the rooftop, a year-round rooftop infinity pool stretching 206 meters in length will be constructed. This will surpass the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore (150 meters), making it the longest in the world, and is expected to become a new tourism landmark representing Yeosu in the future.
This project is led by HJ The Ocean Resort Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 375 billion KRW, aiming for an opening in October 2027.
Koo Chung-gon, Commissioner of the Gwangyang FEZ Authority, stated, "The groundbreaking ceremony for the Beach Condo marks the starting point for Yeosu to grow beyond Korea into a global marine tourism city." He added, "We will actively support the development of a premium tourism complex that combines marine, leisure, and cultural experiences."
