RaonMedi's 'Laon Ortho' Receives FDA Approval in U.S. ... "Enhanced Efficiency with One Click"

RaonPeople's subsidiary, the AI-based medical company RaonMedi, announced on April 29 that its AI dental clear aligner software, Laon Ortho, has passed the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) review for new features.

Laon Ortho, developed by RaonMedi, is an AI-powered dental clear aligner software that uses CBCT (Cone Beam CT) scans of teeth for orthodontic purposes. It separates the teeth, including roots, using AI and provides a 3D view, representing an innovative medical AI technology.

The newly approved feature is the 'One click clear aligner setup,' which allows the orthodontic and treatment planning process to be carried out conveniently with a single click. By quickly predicting the initial clear aligner treatment plan while considering whether extraction is required or not, this technology can significantly improve treatment efficiency.

In addition, the 'timeline-based precision treatment' feature has been added, which supports the establishment of detailed and systematic treatment plans by setting the individual movement and timing of each tooth at every stage. The 'cloud-based data management' technology, which was also approved, enables all treatment data to be stored and managed in the cloud. As a result, 3D treatment plans for patients can be accessed at any time not only in the treatment room but also in consultation rooms and dental laboratories within the hospital.

Furthermore, with the addition of the 'Extraction & Pontic' feature, it is now possible to establish comprehensive orthodontic plans for patients who require tooth extraction, have missing teeth, or need artificial teeth. This enables the creation of treatment plans with both aesthetics and predictability, even for cases with higher levels of difficulty.
