Siwoo Kim has shown strong performances at TPC Craig Ranch (par 71, 7,569 yards) near Dallas, Texas.
TPC Craig Ranch is the battleground for the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on the PGA Tour, with a total prize purse of $9.9 million, taking place from May 1 (local time). At this course, Kim finished tied for second in 2023 and tied for 13th last year.
Kim was left disappointed at last week's RBC Heritage. He started the final round in the lead and was expected to win, but ultimately finished tied for eighth. This time, he is determined to seek redemption at his 'promised land.'
In addition to Kim, Sungjae Im and Byeong Hun An are also aiming for their first victory of the year at a tournament hosted by their sponsor. Ahead of the tournament, the PGA Tour's power rankings placed Kim at No. 2, Im at No. 3, and An at No. 7. Im, currently ranked 20th in the world and 15th in the FedExCup standings, has the elite skills to win any PGA Tour event. This year, he also finished tied for fifth at the Masters.
Byeong Hun An is also dreaming of his long-awaited first career victory, ideally at his sponsor's tournament. Last year, he finished tied for fourth at this venue. In addition, Tom Kim, Sung Hoon Kang, and Seungbin Choi are also hoping to deliver a surprise performance.
