US President Donald Trump is scheduled to invite companies that have pledged to invest in the United States, such as Hyundai Motor, to the White House on the 30th (local time), where he will promote the economic achievements he has made during the first 100 days of his term, according to foreign media reports.

On the 28th, Bloomberg and Reuters, citing White House officials, reported that about 20 chief executive officers (CEOs) from companies including Hyundai Motor, Nvidia, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, General Electric (GE), SoftBank, and Toyota Motor are expected to attend an event titled "Invest in America" at the White House on the 30th.

At this event, President Trump plans to highlight the broad range of investment achievements made during the first 100 days of his second term in sectors such as defense, technology, healthcare, and consumer goods, according to a White House official. The White House has calculated that the total amount of investment pledged to the United States by companies since President Trump’s re-inauguration is $2 trillion (approximately 2,880 trillion won).

The initial signal came from companies such as OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle. These companies announced the launch of the Stargate Project, a joint venture to build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in the United States, on January 21, the day after President Trump’s inauguration, and pledged to invest a total of $500 billion (about 720 trillion won) over the next four years.

Hyundai Motor also announced on March 24 at a White House event attended by President Trump that it would invest $21 billion (about 30 trillion won) in the United States over the next four years. At that time, Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Chung Euisun stood on the White House podium with President Trump.

White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt emphasized in a statement, "Within just 100 days, President Trump has attracted more investment into the United States than former President Joe Biden did during his four-year term."

This event is being held as President Trump faces declining approval ratings amid growing economic instability caused by the tariff war. It is interpreted as an attempt by President Trump to highlight the investment plans announced by companies as his own achievements in order to mitigate the worsening public sentiment.
