Programs to Promote and Boost Consumption of Local Brand Products

Busan City will hold its largest brand festival to mark the summer season.

On April 29, Busan City announced that it is recruiting local companies to participate in the "2025 Busan Brand Festa," which will take place in July.

The Busan Brand Festa is a consumer festival designed to help local small and medium-sized businesses promote and sell their outstanding products. The event has been held annually since 2019 to raise brand awareness and expand sales channels. Last year, 93 companies set up 133 booths, and a total of 10,272 visitors attended the event over three days.

This year's event will be held from July 25 to 27 for three days at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1. With the slogan "Enjoy Busan to the Fullest," the festival targets tourists and citizens visiting Busan during the summer vacation season and offers a variety of programs to promote local brands.

There will be various exhibition zones featuring food and beverages, fashion, interior design, and leisure sports. The event will also include hands-on experiences in collaboration with Busan-based creators, one-day classes, and visitor events.

This year, the event will be co-hosted with the Win-Win Growth Committee, and a joint purchasing consultation will be held with large corporations, public institutions, and small and medium-sized enterprises participating together. The aim is to help local companies discover new sales channels.

Companies wishing to participate can apply on the Busan Brand Festa website by July 4. Those who apply early by May 30 will receive a 20% discount on participation fees, and returning companies will receive an additional 10% discount, for a maximum benefit of up to 30%.

Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Bureau of Busan City, said, "The Busan Brand Festa is a great opportunity to showcase outstanding local products to tourists and citizens visiting Busan," and added, "We hope many local companies with growth potential and capabilities will participate."
