BIO USA is an event organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO) in the United States. This year, it will be held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for four days from June 16 to 19.

During BIO USA, KHIDI will support the global expansion of Korean pharmaceutical and bio companies by operating the "Korea Biohealth Hub," a joint promotional booth with related organizations, and hosting investor relations (IR) presentations, seminars, and receptions.

On June 17 and 18, a joint "Corporate IR Session" will be held at the promotional booth over two days. During the session, Korean companies?including VSPharmtech, Abion, CharisBio, and Hi, which are resident companies of the Boston C&D Incubation Office?will showcase their outstanding technologies and achievements.

On June 17, the "Korea-Australia-US Clinical Seminar" will take place. Co-hosted by KHIDI, Australia's MTPConnect, and Biocom California from the United States, this seminar will discuss clinical excellence in Korea, Australia, and the United States (California). Representing Korea, C&R Research, a resident company of the C&D Incubation Office and a leading domestic contract research organization (CRO), will introduce Korea's clinical excellence and examples of global collaboration.

On June 18, the "Korea Night Reception" will be held at the Seaport Hotel Boston. Co-hosted for the third consecutive year during BIO USA by the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association and KHIDI, this reception has established itself as a flagship "One Korea" business networking event, attracting about 700 industry professionals annually.

On the final day of the event, June 19, the "Multinational Joint Venture Cafe" will take place at the Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) in Boston. This networking event is regularly held on Thursday evenings at the CIC, where the C&D Incubation Office is located. For BIO USA, about four countries?including Korea (KHIDI) and Canada?will jointly organize the event, providing country-specific promotional spaces and hosting company pitches and panel discussions. Participating Korean companies include MEPSGEN and IntecScientific, both resident companies of the C&D Office.

Kim Yongwoo, Head of the Pharmaceutical and Bio Industry Division at KHIDI, stated, "We are actively creating touchpoints with potential partners by not only providing local bases for resident companies but also linking them to global conferences such as BIO USA. Through the CIC Venture Cafe and collaboration with local experts, we will intensify our support to strengthen the local networks that companies need."

Meanwhile, KHIDI is supporting Korean companies' entry into the global market through initiatives such as the "K-Blockbuster Global Expansion Support Project," which includes residency at the C&D Incubation Office in Boston CIC and advanced consulting services for global expansion in the pharmaceutical industry.
