Dongwha Electrolite Tennessee Plant in US Obtains Three Environmental and Quality Certifications

"Additional Safety Certification Acquired"

Dongwha Electrolite announced on April 29 that its Tennessee plant in the United States has simultaneously obtained three international standard certifications in the fields of environment and quality.


In the environmental sector, the plant acquired ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) established by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In the quality sector, it obtained ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) and IATF 16949 (Automotive Quality Management System), which is certified by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF).

ISO 14001 is an international standard designed to systematically manage and minimize negative environmental impacts throughout all aspects of corporate management activities. ISO 9001 was established to build a quality management system that provides optimal products and services from the customer's perspective. IATF 16949 is an international quality management standard for the automotive industry, aimed at stabilizing and improving the quality of products and services across the sector.


The Dongwha Electrolite Tennessee plant plans to obtain additional certifications in the future, including ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), which focuses on the prevention of industrial accidents and the safety of employees.


A Dongwha Electrolite representative stated, "We plan to further strengthen not only environmental and quality management but also core areas such as safety management, in order to advance our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management system."
