Need Practical Training for Food Service Startups?... Youngjin College Recruiting Academy Students

The Hotel Aviation Tourism Department of Youngjin College (President Choi Jaeyoung) is recruiting students for the 11th class of the "Food Service Startup Keywordream Academy" until May 7, 2025.


This program, supported by Daegu City, has established itself over the past three years as a hub for nurturing local talent in the food service startup sector and has received high praise from early-stage entrepreneurs.

Since launching its first class in 2022, the "Food Service Startup Keywordream Academy" has produced a total of 340 graduates across 10 cohorts. Through a systematic curriculum and practice-oriented programs, it has supported aspiring entrepreneurs in achieving tangible results.


The academy's curriculum emphasizes practical experience, including hands-on entrepreneurship training, instruction in cafe, bakery, Korean, Japanese, and Western cuisine skills, on-site industry visits, one-on-one customized consulting with a team of mentors, and mock startup competitions. The focus is on strengthening the practical competencies necessary for starting a business.


Graduates commented, "We were able to develop the core skills needed for food service startups in a short period of time, and the hands-on training and expert mentoring were extremely helpful in preparing for actual business launches." In particular, the structured education covering everything from business plan writing to SNS marketing strategy development has received high satisfaction ratings.


A Daegu City official stated, "The Food Service Startup Keywordream Academy is designed to reduce the risk of failure for aspiring entrepreneurs and help them prepare competitive businesses," adding, "We will continue to actively operate the program to revitalize the local food service industry and support youth entrepreneurship."


The 11th class will run for a total of 76 hours from May 9 to July 10, 2025, and tuition is free. Applications can be submitted through the Hotel Aviation Tourism Department website of Youngjin College.
