This special lecture is designed to encourage daycare directors across the country and to provide them with time for rest and reflection. The event will focus on the theme of "Meditation and Mental Strength That Bring Change to Life." Participants will have the opportunity to recharge both mind and body through meditation experiences based on neuroscience, lectures by renowned experts in the field of mental strength, and empathy talks.

During the lecture, Professor Kim Joo-hwan of Yonsei University will speak on "What is Mental Strength?" He will explain the meaning of mental strength, why it is necessary for modern people, and how meditation can help enhance mental strength, all based on neuroscience. In a separate session titled "How to Meditate," he will provide a basic understanding of meditation and discuss how meditation can serve as a daily practice for physical and mental health and happiness. The program will also include a practical session on "Meditation for Mental Strength."

Professor Chae Jeongho, a psychiatrist at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, will deliver a lecture on "How to Achieve a Happy Life and Why Meditation Matters," discussing from a medical perspective how to care for both body and mind for a happy life, as well as the effects of meditation. In particular, participants on site will experience a special "movement meditation" session led by Kim Jimin, CEO of Osmove and a somatic movement expert, at the Meditation Center, which boasts the highest level of meditation education facilities. Additional opportunities will be provided to participate in programs within the center, such as stargazing and foot bath garden experiences.

Registration opens at 10 a.m. on May 1 via the Eventus website. On the day of the special lecture, May 29, anyone can watch the event live on the YouTube channel "Samsung e-Bosugyoyuk Campus."

Meanwhile, Samsung Welfare Foundation offers lectures by distinguished speakers on timely topics and a variety of cultural experience programs at venues that utilize Samsung's educational and cultural infrastructure. The special lecture has been held twice a year since 2022, with more than 13,000 participants to date. Beginning this year, the foundation has also launched a full-scale "childcare support program." This program is recognized for leading the model for next-generation childcare services by providing timely programs such as prevention of emotional and behavioral problems in young children, mental health, and respect for diversity, not only for Samsung daycare centers but for daycare centers nationwide. Specific initiatives include training and dispatching child behavior specialists, building a support platform for infant and toddler development, developing and distributing a mental growth program for young children, expanding the Samsung diversity respect program externally, and hosting special lectures for daycare directors across the country.
