A New Urban Healing Spot... 'Tojeong Park Barefoot Hwangto Trail' Opens in Mapo District

Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo District, attended the opening ceremony of the 'Tojeong Park Barefoot Hwangto Trail' held at Tojeong Park (555-1 Dohwa-dong) on the afternoon of April 28.

The 'Tojeong Park Barefoot Hwangto Trail' has been created among the cluster of buildings near Mapo Station, and is expected to become a new healing spot where people can experience nature and find relaxation within the city.

The trail is equipped with convenience facilities such as a foot-washing station and shoe lockers to minimize inconvenience for users.

Additionally, a hwangto storage box has been installed, providing an environment where residents can independently maintain and manage the trail, which has also drawn attention.

The opening ceremony began with a progress report on the creation of the trail, followed by a commemorative speech by Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo District, a congratulatory address by Baek Namhwan, Chairman of the Mapo District Council, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, commemorative photography, and an inspection of the trail.

Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo District, stated, "I hope you can rest and recharge together with nature at the 'Tojeong Park Barefoot Hwangto Trail' without having to travel far from your busy daily life," and added, "Mapo District will continue to do its best to create small but meaningful spaces of happiness throughout every corner of the district."
