Damyang County in South Jeolla Province announced on April 28 that it will hold a special discount event starting from May 1 until the allocated budget is exhausted, in celebration of the 24th Bamboo Festival and to promote the use of the public delivery app 'Meokkebi'.
This event is limited to the first 600 participants. Users can receive an instant 5,000 won discount coupon when they place an order of 15,000 won or more through the Meokkebi app. Each person can use the discount coupon up to four times. By combining this offer with the free delivery event in South Jeolla Province and the regional gift certificate payment discount coupon, users can receive benefits of up to 11,000 won.
The public delivery app 'Meokkebi' charges only a 1.5% commission fee and does not require entry fees or advertising costs, which are commonly demanded by private delivery apps. This helps reduce the business burden on small business owners. As a result, it is becoming a useful platform that eases the burden for both business owners and consumers. Businesses can apply to join through the 'Meokkebi Owner Site' or by contacting the Meokkebi Customer Center.
A county official stated, "We expect that this event, held ahead of the 24th Bamboo Festival, will help increase sales for small business owners and provide benefits to consumers," and added, "We will continue to pursue various policies to invigorate the local economy."
