Specialized Training for Public Facility Construction Supervisors
Fostering Competent and Professional Personnel
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will conduct specialized competency training for two days, from April 28 to April 29, targeting 60 facility-related public officials.
This training, entrusted to the Construction Technology Education Institute, a specialized educational institution, is structured around key review points for each stage of public facility construction projects and practical supervision for accident prevention at construction sites. In particular, it systematically addresses the area of construction contracts, which is known to be the most challenging in practical work. In addition, Yu Kyungjong, Director of Public Facility Planning, will personally serve as an instructor, enhancing practical understanding by sharing the hands-on experience and know-how of senior public officials.
After the training, a learning assessment will be conducted to evaluate the effectiveness and understanding of the participants. The city also plans to identify employees with potential for innovative growth and utilize this information for personnel records.
Hong Soonyoung, Director of the Autonomous Administration Bureau, stated, "Through this training, we aim to enhance professionalism and a sense of responsibility as construction supervisors, ultimately realizing efficient and safe management of public facility construction sites." He added, "We always keep in mind that public officials with specialized competencies are the key to improving the quality of public services, and we will continue to make efforts to strengthen the capabilities of our staff."
Meanwhile, in June, an additional training program on urban development (regeneration) planning will be launched. This program will be tailored to local issues and provided to employees in charge of related tasks, further strengthening their professional expertise.
