Special Regional Exhibition to Be Held in Canada This June

Haenam County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Myung Hyun-kwan) announced on the 28th that it held a business agreement signing ceremony on the 25th in the county office situation room with A-Mart, located in Calgary, Canada, to expand exports of agricultural and food products from Haenam County.

A-Mart (CEO Choi Byunghwa) is a specialty Asian food mart with three stores in Calgary, Canada. Through this agreement, Haenam County has laid the groundwork for exporting its high-quality agricultural and marine products to Canada.

Starting last month with a preliminary meeting with company representatives, the county directly visited local producers to carefully inspect facilities and products and discuss export potential. Following this, with the signing of the business agreement, Haenam County plans to hold a promotional event in Calgary in June.

In particular, this promotional event will not only feature product displays and sales, but will also include programs to introduce Haenam County's culture and history to Canada. The county plans to hold a special regional exhibition using various content, including video production and media promotion.

Governor Myung Hyun-kwan and A-Mart General Manager Jung Chan-seok attended the signing ceremony and signed the agreement to mutually cooperate in developing and expanding export products of Haenam County's agricultural and marine foods, establishing a win-win cooperation model. They agreed to continue efforts so that Haenam's outstanding agricultural and marine products can become trusted "Haenam Food" brands among Canadian consumers.

Governor Myung said, "Following the export agreement with Wooltari in the United States in February, we are accelerating our export efforts with the agreement with A-Mart in Canada. Going forward, we will continue to discover outstanding export products, expand from offline to online markets, and broaden our export markets to Russia, Germany, and Japan. We plan to strengthen communication with export companies and implement a variety of export support programs."
