The General Insurance Association announced on April 28 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Seoul Family Court, the Korea Association of Social Workers, and the Korea Association of School Social Workers to support children and adolescents under the protection of court-appointed guardians.
Under this agreement, the General Insurance Association plans to donate 20 million won, utilizing funds from the Saehuimang Healing Fund of the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service.

The Saehuimang Healing Fund is a pan-financial sector social contribution fund established by the Credit Counseling & Recovery Service for social contribution projects, using corporate credit card points and donations from financial institutions, including general insurance companies.
The Seoul Family Court will select children and adolescents in need of assistance, and the project will be carried out by the Korea Association of Social Workers and the Korea Association of School Social Workers.
The beneficiaries are children and adolescents who have lost their parents or whose parental rights have been terminated due to reasons such as abuse or neglect, and who are under the protection of court-appointed guardians designated by the Seoul Family Court. They will receive support in the form of clothing, shoes, and educational materials necessary for daily life.
Lee Byungrae, Chairman of the General Insurance Association, stated, "It is meaningful to be able to support children in need in celebration of Family Month," adding, "I hope that these children will be able to pursue their dreams with hope, surrounded by the warmth and generosity of society."
