Two Types: Spray and Gel
Tailored Treatment for Different Areas
On April 28, Chong Kun Dang launched two types of acne treatment products under the "DermaGram" brand, offering both spray and gel formulations tailored to different areas of the body.
DermaGram Liquid is a spray-type topical solution designed for treating acne on large areas such as the back and chest, or on areas that are difficult to reach by hand. The product features a rotating nozzle, allowing for convenient application from various angles. Its main ingredients include 0.5% salicylic acid, 0.3% isopropylmethylphenol, and 0.2% allantoin, which provide antibacterial effects, promote skin regeneration, and soften keratin, thereby addressing multiple causes of acne simultaneously.
"DermaGram Gel" is a gel formulation effective for inflammatory acne, and is available in an 18g tube for easy application to small areas. Each gram contains 40mg of niacinamide, which is effective in reducing inflammation, and also includes tea tree oil for soothing the skin. In clinical trials, the product demonstrated an 86% overall improvement rate and a 59.5% reduction in the number of lesions for moderate or greater acne.
A Chong Kun Dang representative stated, "Acne can develop into a chronic condition beyond being a simple skin concern, so it is important to choose ingredients and formulations that suit the symptoms. DermaGram is designed to address the characteristics of acne in different areas of the body, and we plan to expand the product lineup to meet a wide range of consumer needs."
The two DermaGram products are over-the-counter medications to be applied to affected areas twice daily, and are available for purchase at local pharmacies.
