Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (President Kim Taeyeol) conducted a 'wildfire prevention trekking' plogging campaign around Hwangnyeongsan Mountain on April 25 as part of its ESG management practices and community contribution activities.

This event consisted of plogging, where participants pick up trash while trekking for about one hour. Employees of the agency voluntarily took part, taking the lead in wildfire prevention.

The campaign was organized to prevent cigarette butts and trash burning?both cited as major causes of recent large-scale wildfires in the Yeongnam region?and to promote a culture of wildfire prevention. The importance of such preventive activities is especially emphasized in the spring, when dry weather and strong winds significantly increase the risk of wildfires.

A representative from the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency stated, "This plogging activity was a meaningful opportunity to realize two values: environmental protection and community safety," and added, "We plan to continue operating various programs to practice ESG management and fulfill our social responsibilities."

The agency also announced its intention to continue spreading the message that small actions in daily life can lead to significant change through participatory ESG campaigns in the future.
