Recruiting 1,200 Participants Until May 14
Cheonan City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it will be recruiting participants for the "Bbangbbang Day Bread Pilgrimage Team" until May 14.
The Bread Pilgrimage Team is a group of participants who, during the Bbangbbang Day Bread Pilgrimage event held from June 14 to 15, visit at least two designated bakeries and at least one of the eight scenic spots in Cheonan, and then share their experiences on their personal social media accounts.
The city plans to select a total of 400 teams (approximately 1,200 people), consisting of 200 teams from within the city and 200 teams from outside the city. Each team will receive a bread pilgrimage voucher worth 60,000 won.
Anyone who uses social media and is a Korean national can participate in the Bread Pilgrimage Team. Teams should be composed of two to four people, including a team leader who is at least 18 years old, such as family members or colleagues, and can apply together.
Applications can be submitted through the official Bbangbbang Day social media channels (Instagram) and blog. The city plans to announce the results of the selection process on social media on May 20 and will also notify each team individually.
Even if not selected for the Bread Pilgrimage Team, visitors to designated bakeries during the event period will be able to receive a 10% discount, and can also participate in events offering locally produced milk and glutinous brown rice as gifts.
Park Changho, head of the Cheonan branch of the Korea Bakery Association, stated, "We plan to present high-quality, healthy bread made with local agricultural and livestock products," adding, "We are fully prepared to welcome pilgrimage teams from all over the country."
