On April 28, the Bukgu District Office of Daegu (headed by Bae Kwangsik) announced that it had completed the construction of sports facilities in the Kumho River water retention area in Kumho-dong and officially opened the Daegu Bukgu Geumho Park Golf Course.
The Daegu Bukgu Geumho Park Golf Course, built with a total of 36 holes, covering 106,954 square meters and with a total project cost of 4.65 billion won, has generated great anticipation among local residents and club members who enjoy park golf, as it provides a spacious and pleasant space for rounds. In particular, the course, which features a moderate level of difficulty and well-maintained grass, has been designed so that everyone from beginners to experienced players can enjoy the game safely and with fun.
The Daegu Bukgu Geumho Park Golf Course was constructed according to certified facility standards to host national park golf tournaments. Starting with the National Park Golf Tournament in October this year, it is expected to both revitalize the local economy and elevate the standard of park golf courses in the region by attracting national competitions.
Bae Kwangsik, head of the Daegu Bukgu District Office, said, "The Geumho Park Golf Course will be a premium park golf course that attracts visitors from other regions and will serve as a leisure space supporting the healthy lives of residents. In the future, by attracting national park golf tournaments and operating various programs, it will also contribute to revitalizing the local economy."
The Daegu Bukgu Geumho Park Golf Course is scheduled to open in May after obtaining approval for completion of river occupation construction from the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office. With this addition, Daegu Bukgu will operate three park golf courses?Geomdan Park Golf Course (27 holes), Mutae Park Golf Course (18 holes), and Geumho Park Golf Course?totaling 81 holes.
