410,000 People Visit as 64th Asan Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival Closes Mayor Oh Sehyun is delivering a congratulatory speech at the Hakikjin Dance Battle on the 27th.
410,000 People Visit as 64th Asan Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival Closes The 2nd Admiral Yi Sunshin National Rowing Competition is currently underway.

The city of Asan, South Chungcheong Province, announced on April 28 that 410,000 people visited the 64th Asan Seongung Yi Sunshin Festival, which was held from April 25 to April 27 at Onyang Oncheon Station Plaza and other locations.


The festival began with performances by the city choir and 428 citizens, followed by a drone show titled "The Path of Heroes Drawn in the Sky," which featured 800 drones.


Other diverse and interactive programs included the original musical "Seongung," the Nanjung Diary Golden Bell quiz, the traditional game survival event "ㅇㅅㅅGame," and the military examination parade.


At the Onyang Oncheon Station market, a food market and pop-up street events were also held. In particular, the Asan Makgeolli Highball, developed in collaboration with Chef Choi Hyunseok, received an enthusiastic response from citizens.


On the closing day, the 1st National Pull-up Competition, the Hakikjin Dance Battle, and the Baekuijonggun Road Walking Competition were held in succession. In the evening, performances by singers Kim Bokyung, Lee Seokhoon, and Dynamic Duo took place alongside another drone show.


At the closing ceremony, Mayor Oh Sehyun stated, "It is very meaningful to be able to fulfill the promise of creating a sustainable festival where citizens and the local economy grow together," and added, "Next year, we will return with an even richer and more advanced festival."
