A total of six people, including teachers, injured and transported to hospital
An incident occurred at a high school in Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province, where a student from a special education class went on a rampage with a weapon.
According to the police, at around 8:41 a.m. on April 28, a student wielded a weapon at a high school in Cheongju, injuring a total of six people, including teachers, on their faces, abdomens, and other areas.
The victims were transported to a hospital for treatment, and all are reportedly in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.
After the rampage, the perpetrating student jumped into a nearby reservoir but was rescued and taken to a hospital. The student is reported to be enrolled in a special education class.
The police and education authorities are investigating the specific circumstances of the incident.
