Pukyong National University and Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to Co-host Talk Concert at 4 p.m. on the 29th
Special Lecture by Chairperson of the Committee for the Era of Local Autonomy and Discussion on the Role of Glocal Universities for Busan's Future
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sanghoon) is making a decisive move by presenting a vision for future innovation in Busan together with representatives of the local business community, just ahead of the deadline for the Glocal University 30 project application.
Pukyong National University and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold the "2025 Pukyong National University-Busan Business Community Affiliated Institutions Talk Concert" at 4 p.m. on April 29 at the Pukyong Convention Hall.
This event has been organized so that Pukyong National University and key representatives of the Busan business community can share innovative strategies for Busan to expand as a global hub city, and to establish a strong collaborative network for the promotion of the Glocal University 30 project.
Prior to the talk concert, Woo Donggi, Chairperson of the Committee for the Era of Local Autonomy, will deliver a special lecture on the topic of "Fostering Global Talent in the Era of Local Autonomy and the Role of Universities."
Following this, President Bae Sanghoon of Pukyong National University will serve as moderator for the talk concert, which will be held under the theme "The Key to Opening the Future of Busan as a Global Hub City."
The panel will include Sung Heeyeop, Chief Policy Advisor to the Busan Metropolitan Government; Lee Heeseung, President of the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology; Kim Hyungyun, President of Busan Technopark; Jung Hyunmin, Vice President of the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Kim Kwangsoo, President of the Busan Employers Federation; Choi Woochan, Director of the Dongguk CM Technology Research Institute; Park Yongjun, CEO of Samjin Foods; and Kwak Dongjin, a doctoral student at Pukyong National University.
President Bae Sanghoon stated, "Through this event, we expect to share strategies for nurturing talent who will remain in the region and excel on the global stage, and to establish a strong foundation for collaboration among local government, industry, academia, and research institutes for regional development."
