Jangseong County to Create Year-Round Play and Relaxation Space at Sangmu Peace Park

Jangseong County in Jeollanam-do is developing a year-round complex playground facility at Sangmu Peace Park in Samgye-myeon, where visitors can enjoy both water play and relaxation. Themed spaces equipped with play facilities and rest areas are planned, targeting families as the main visitors.

According to Jangseong County on April 28, the county will invest 1.8 billion KRW to create a playground space that embodies the "flow of nature from land to sea." Facilities will include a lighthouse-shaped water play structure, a net playground, and a children's mounding playground, allowing for use regardless of the season. Family rest areas (tea houses) with heating and cooling, as well as shaded areas, will also be provided.

Jangseong County has gathered feedback through community briefings, aims to complete the detailed design by June, and is targeting completion of the project by August next year.

An official from the county stated, "By creating a space that can be enjoyed year-round, we aim to increase the utilization of the park and contribute to regional revitalization by attracting more visitors to Jangseong."
