Hyundai Engineering & Construction announced on April 28 that it has established a demonstration facility for the future-oriented healthy housing model, 'All Life Care House,' at its Technology Research Institute. This is the first time in Korea that a separate research facility has been set up to refine and practically apply advanced healthcare technologies.
This residential model incorporates a variety of technologies currently under development. It provides wellness solutions for managing sleep, exercise, and mental health, as well as medical solutions that enable emergency response in connection with hospitals during urgent situations. There is also a health living solution that creates an optimal living environment by controlling not only temperature and humidity, but also air, water, and light. The facility replicates apartment units under real residential conditions to conduct research that is closely aligned with everyday life.

In the bedroom, the quality of sleep is monitored. Movements and heart rate during sleep are tracked to detect early warning signs of potential health issues. The results of sleep pattern analysis are evaluated for appropriateness in collaboration with external professional organizations, and clinical trials are also planned. The company is also researching methods for remote medical consultations and exercise coaching. Additionally, a function is being developed to automatically send alerts to medical centers in the event of emergencies such as falls or cardiac arrest, using sensors that detect movement.
A Hyundai Engineering & Construction representative stated, "The role of the home is evolving beyond simple residence to ultra-personalized care," adding, "We plan to introduce high-end residential products that combine innovation with the fundamental value of the home, such as in the Apgujeong reconstruction project."
