With this agreement, the two companies will leverage their respective core competencies to drive digitalization in the energy industry and create new business opportunities. Doosan Enerbility plans to utilize its digital expertise accumulated at power plant sites, while KEPCO KDN will contribute its information and communication technology specialization. The two companies plan to collaborate in several areas: developing and disseminating artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the energy sector; cooperating on technologies to enhance cybersecurity in the energy sector; and developing control system technologies for power transmission, transformation, and distribution.

Song Yongjin stated, "This business agreement will further accelerate the application of AI and digital transformation in the energy sector," adding, "We expect this will also enhance the competitiveness of Korea's energy industry in the global market."

Since 2013, Doosan Enerbility has been pursuing digital transformation by integrating IT technologies into its existing power generation and machinery capabilities, supplying digital solutions to domestic and overseas power plants. In particular, its proprietary predictive diagnostics solution, Prevision, detects equipment failures in advance, thereby enhancing the operational stability of power plants.
